Julie is passionate about helping other reservists, and their families make connections in the community, so she started her own Family Readiness Group in Arizona. We discuss how challenging it was to not be on a military base and receive very little guidance as a new spouse, and how she decided to take matters into her own hands, and research to create her own group to help the people in her husband’s unit before they deployed. Julie also shares her experiences with PCSing, and the advice she has for other families struggling with the same issues.
